We live in a weight obsessed culture. The media idealizes a certain body type that is not realistic for most people. Therefore, we are set up to strive for something that is not attainable for most. This leads to depression, self hatred, diets that do not work and anxiety. The greatest gift that we can give ourselves is to accept our bodies the way they are and to understand that we all come in different shapes and sizes.

- Learning to accept ourselves and stop hating our bodies
- Accepting our feelings and our needs
- Assertiveness training
- Listening to our body and meeting it’s true needs
- Mindfulness
- Asking are our expectations reasonable?
