Please allow me to introduce myself to you. I am Amy Gartner, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe that I bring hope and humor, energy and enthusiasm to my work with adolescents, adults and families. I provide opportunities for healing and growth through individual counseling, educational workshops and group therapy.
I completed my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Kentucky and have been working as a counselor in private practice for more than 15 years. I am also a seasoned trainer and group facilitator. My professional experience includes working in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, teaching and counseling in an eating disorder recovery center as well as a medical weight loss and bariatric surgery center. I have also been very active in supporting families as they grieve losses from death, divorce and illness. I strongly believe that personal growth requires the development of meaningful connections and a willingness to heal through honesty, courage and acceptance. I would love the opportunity to work with you on your journey to wholeness.
